If the ScreenBeam software application cannot detect a USB Transmitter, the application will not start. The laptop/tablet may have failed to properly start the USB Transmitter driver or the driver may be incorrectly installed/corrupted.
- Right-click the ScreenBeam icon in the Windows System Tray and select Exit.
- Click OK to confirm.
- Remove the USB Transmitter from the USB port on the laptop/tablet.
- Connect the USB Transmitter again. Use a different USB port if one is available.
- Attempt to launch the Actiontec ScreenBeam software again.
- If the application still fails to launch, ensure that the Actiontec ScreenBeam USB Transmitter is not disabled in the Network Connections section of the Windows Network & Sharing Center.
If the application continues to fail to launch:
- Remove the USB Transmitter from the USB port on the laptop/tablet.
- Uninstall the Actiontec ScreenBeam wireless display application from the Programs & Features section of the Windows Control Panel.
- Restart the laptop/tablet.
- Ensure you have the latest version of the Actiontec ScreenBeam application. You can download the latest version from http://sup.screenbeam.com/sbupdate.php
- Reinstall the ScreenBeam application. Do not connect the USB Transmitter to the laptop/tablet until instructed by the software setup application.
